1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site remember information about your visit, like your preferred language, your login state, or whether you've dismissed a banner.
"Similar technologies" includes things like local storage, session storage, and web beacons. We use those sparingly too, and we cover them in this policy.
2. How FindDevs uses cookies
We use as few cookies as possible. We do not use any cross-site marketing tracker (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Hotjar). The cookies we do set fall into three categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for things like submitting forms securely. Cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
- Functional: remember your preferences (e.g. that you've already dismissed the quote modal).
- Analytics: help us count anonymous visits in aggregate. No personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
3. The full cookie list
Here is every cookie FindDevs may set on your device. We update this list whenever we change anything, if you spot an undocumented cookie, please email hello@finddevs.com.au.
4. Local storage and similar technologies
We also use a tiny amount of browser local storage to keep the site fast on return visits:
fd:lastVersion: stores the latest deployed site version so we can hard-reload stale tabs after a deploy.fd:reduceMotion: caches your reduced-motion preference if you toggle it.
We do not use web beacons, browser fingerprinting, session replay, or any other invasive tracking technique.
5. Third-party cookies
FindDevs does not embed any third-party advertising network or social media tracker on its pages. The only third-party content we load is:
- Google Fonts: to deliver the typefaces this site uses. Google may log a request to its servers when fonts load. No cookies are set by this request.
If we ever add an embed (e.g. a YouTube video), we'll update this section and require your consent before loading it.
6. How to manage or refuse cookies
6.1 Through your browser
Every modern browser lets you block, delete, or restrict cookies. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break some FindDevs functionality (e.g. the quote form will refuse submissions).
6.2 Through us
If you'd like a complete reset of any cookies and stored preferences we've ever placed on your device, email hello@finddevs.com.au with the subject "Cookie reset" and we'll confirm what you can clear.
7. Do Not Track
Your browser may include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no agreed industry standard for how sites should respond to it. FindDevs does not deploy any cross-site tracking regardless, so DNT does not change our behaviour.
8. Changes to this policy
We update this Cookies Policy whenever we add, remove, or repurpose a cookie. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes, we'll notify you via the site banner before the change takes effect.
